The streaming platform has acquired the license to stream seven major anime titles for the year 2023. Crunchyroll Will Stream Popular Isekai Titles In 2023
The streaming service has been a staple for anime enthusiasts besides Netflix. Crunchyroll has gained prominence globally, especially after the demand for fresh anime content increased during and after the pandemic. Other streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, and HDive are also throwing their hats into the ring. Regardless of whether anyone comes out on top, it is a great time for anime fans no matter what streaming platform they are subscribed to.

The fall season brought back some familiar names like Mobile Suit Gundam, Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, and more. However, the upcoming year will bring fresh titles to the streaming platform. As per Anime News Network, the seven titles to head to Crunchyroll in 2023 include:

Crunchyroll Experimented With Isekai Anime In 2022
A majority of these titles are Isekai anime, which gives fans a chance to take a glimpse at the world beyond ours. For the unversed, Isekai is one of the most popular anime genres. It focuses on characters that are transported to other worlds and must find a way to survive. The protagonists are either transported or reborn as a human or in any other form in the second world.

Crunchyroll has had its fair share of Isekai titles in 2022 as well. In Spring 2022, the second season of The Rising Of The Shield Hero was simulcast on the platform. Although its first season faced a lot of controversies, it didn’t stop fans and loyal followers from streaming the second season.
Skeleton Knight Is A Gaming Isekai Series
Another title that gained popularity on the streaming service was Skeleton Knight In Another World. The story trails a gamer, Arc who just like any classic Isekai protagonist, makes it to a fantasy world. The series premiered on April 7 in Japan and was simulcasted outside of Asia.
