Wells Adams Says Tearful Goodbye To His Dead Best Friend
In a tearful Instagram post, Bachelorette alum Wells Adams revealed his best friend was dead. The TV personality admitted his vision was a bit blurry as he fought to see through his tear-filled eyes to share this tragic update with his 1.2M followers.
He added his heart was “heavy” as he confirmed his best friend was dead. Wells Adams attached a cluster of beautiful photos of his late best friend as he continued to pen a touching tribute. Within his tribute, he reflected on all the memories of his best friend that he would carry with him forever.

Sadly, Wells Adams’ dog Carl the Bloodhound has passed away. Wells noted that Carl was a “good guy” and a “gentle giant” in his beautiful post as he said his final goodbye.
You were sweet, noisy, protective, and slobbery, and boy did you give the best hugs! You were the best boy I’ve ever known. I hope you thought I was a good dad. We’ve been through so much and I there’s no way I would be here without you. Carlos the blooder, know that mom, dad, and boo love you forever. I hope you visit me all the time in my dreams to play tug of war. My jogs will never be the same but I’ll make sure to stop by the trees where the squirrels are in case you’re still running with me. You’ll always be my big ole hounder. I love you.”
In his emotional farewell, Wells Adams admits that he hopes he will continue to see his best friend in his dreams when he’s asleep. While her post wasn’t nearly as long or tragic as Wells’, his wife Sarah Hyland also took to Instagram to say goodbye to Carl.
As fans of this Bachelor Nation couple know, Sarah and Wells loved Carl so much that they had a whole Instagram account dedicated to him. With 33K followers and over 150 posts, Carl’s Instagram profile was pretty active.
