The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg checked out and fans are annoyed. She’s been looking disinterested in the panel ever since Season 26 started in September. Fans are sick of her “rude” behavior. They noticed that the talk show goes on much smoother without her. The backlash continued long after she returned after she recovered from COVID.

Whoopi Goldberg had enough of romance

It seems like Whoopi Goldberg checks out of the show when the panel discusses romance and relationships. She’s not the kind of woman who likes to get swept away. Normally, she will look deadpan into the camera or over at the studio audience, who often think it’s funny. When it comes to NSFW topics, Whoopi leads the way.

She loves to make naughty jokes and thirsty comments. The 67-year-old even admitted that she’s a closet “freak.” On Tuesday’s broadcast of The View, Whoopi and the panel talked about the Christmas movie, Love Actually. Since it’s a romantic film, the comedian wasn’t here for it.

Instead, Whoopi Goldberg interacted with the audience instead of listening to the panel. She totally checked out of the conversation. The moderator started things off by first saying that Diane Sawyer is celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the “beloved holiday romantic comedy” with her new special, The Laughter and Secrets of Love Actually, which aired Tuesday night on ABC.

“Why do you think so many people keep going back to the movie?” Whoopi Goldberg asked.

Her co-host Joy Behar called it “a fabulous film” that’s “very edgy yet heartwarming.” She talked about the star-studded British cast that includes Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, and Bill Nighy. Joy admitted that the holiday film isn’t for young eyes. She said there are some raunchy scenes.

Alyssa Farah Griffin says she loves the edginess of the movie. She feels that most romantic “Christmas movies can be kind of childish and repetitive.” Sara Haines says that she loves that it focuses on different types of relationships.

Sunny Hostin admitted she never watched Love, Actually. She feels that it’s a “very convoluted storyline” that has “a lot going on.” Joy, Sara, and Alyssa told Sunny that she would watch the film. Even the part about the sexy scenes wasn’t enough to keep Whoopi Goldberg interested.

The View moderator looks bored — again!

The Oscar winner checked out of the conversation. She kept staring at the audience and interacting with them because she is not into romantic films. Meanwhile, the audience loved getting attention from the actress. However, fans didn’t think Whoopi Goldberg’s behavior was cute.

Some on Twitter have called her “rude” and “annoying.” Whoopi returned last Monday after she fell ill from COVID. The Sister Act star admitted that she still has a cough even though she’s fully recovered. Fans noticed that Whoopi was wheezing during that same episode and expressed concern about her.

What are your thoughts on Whoopi Goldberg checking out of the show? Do you think it’s rude? Or, do you think it’s just Whoopi being Whoopi? Sound off below in the comment section.

  1. The view is a disgusting show filled with liberal women who usually bash men. Whoopi has turned into a disgusting human being. Behar has always been one. How people can actually watch this garbage is beyond me.
