‘Sister Wives’ Fans Think Kody Brown Tries To Rewrite History?
Most Sister Wives fans soured on Kody Brown a very long time ago. They really don’t appreciate the way he treats his wives — especially as Season 17 progresses.
However, some fans seem to think that the Browns don’t always remember that their lives are documented on a television series. For the past 12 years, viewers have watched the Browns as the family moved, grew, and evolved. That’s why fans can prove it when Kody Brown or another family member contradicts themselves.
Kody Brown can’t seem to keep his stories straight
Several Sister Wives fans would agree that Kody often gaslights his family members. There have been multiple instances in Season 17 alone where he made his wives question their own experiences. But fans have access to all 17 seasons on streaming services. They won’t buy into Kody Brown’s false narratives.
“Do [Kody] and Robyn not realize they’re being filmed? Or do they not understand the children in their house are going to grow up, move out, watch the series and see that they’ve been lied to their entire lives?” one Redditor wrote on the platform recently.
“Not sure if they’re aware every past season is on Discovery + and many viewers, including myself, have been rewatching. It’s amazing that Kody wants us to just accept his version of events, disregarding what we know/see/saw/heard,” another user replied.
All 17 seasons of Sister Wives are also available on Hulu, expanding the audience. These days, it’s pretty easy for viewers to go back and watch all the episodes.

Will the excuses ever end?
Recently, Sister Wives fans noticed that Kody’s stories don’t seem to match up, especially when it comes to Ysabel. Fans know he refused to be by her side during her spine surgery. However, his reasons have changed a bit from time to time. Excuses have ranged from COVID-19 to not wanting to be away from the children he shares with Robyn.
Earlier in the season, he also made excuses about being unable to see the children he shares with Christine and Janelle. He argued that it was the wives’ faults for not obeying his COVID-19 rules. But when the women invited him to stand in the yard and talk to the kids from a safe distance, he also refused. Kody claimed that the cold weather made it too inconvenient.
It doesn’t appear that the excuses and contradictions will end soon. And at the moment, it’s giving fans more excuses to detest Kody.
