Hallmark’s latest Countdown To Christmas movie is a rom-com called Undercover Holiday.

What Is Hallmark’s Undercover Holiday About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Jaylen Rodriguez (González) is an up-and-coming pop star who is preparing to headline her first tour. First, before she embarks on the glitter and grind of the road, she wants to return home for a “real, traditional Rodriguez family Christmas.”
However, when a “secret admirer” sends “concerning fan mail,” her team insisted she has a 24/7 bodyguard. But, when Jaylen first embarked on her pop career, her family was concerned that she would end up with security guards to protect her from fanatics.
Now, Jaylen realizes this is a possible threat and agrees to the protection. Nevertheless, she insists that she not worry her family, “specifically her beloved Abuela (Reynoso), so she comes up with a plan. She wants her to pretend that her former Navy SEAL bodyguard Matt (Huszar) is her boyfriend.
This plan takes an unexpected turn, as her family is thrilled that Jaylen has allowed herself time for love. She has been so career-focused. The whole Rodriguez family welcomes Matt with warmth and love, despite Jaylen feeling that Matt is her constant shadow. She never gets a moment alone.
Although they do their best to pull off their fake relationship, they spend a lot of time disagreeing. Matt’s job is to keep her safe, and he will not back down. She wants to do all of those Christmas activities that she grew up doing. But, this puts her in vulnerable situations.
As time goes on, Matt becomes close to her warm family, and the relationship between them becomes more sincere. Could this fake relationship become real?

The premiere of Undercover Holiday is on Sunday, December 4, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.
