‘I Am Shauna Rae’: Will She Run Off With Her New Love Interest?
I Am Shauna Rae Season 2 is well underway at this point. Right off the bat, fans were excited to meet a potential love interest for the TLC star, Thomas. However, it doesn’t seem like Shauna is completely smitten with the firefighter yet. Right now, she’s still exploring her early 20s and wants to have as much fun as possible.

The I Am Shauna Rae star finally meets her online beau
PEOPLE obtained access to new footage of future I Am Shauna Rae Season 2 episodes. And it looks like Shauna will definitely have her fair share of suitors this season. A lot of fans grew attached to Tom, so they might be a little disappointed to see the TLC star explore romance with a man named Dan.
In new teasers, Shauna reveals that she met Dan online and they’re finally going to meet up when he comes to visit her neck of the woods. And yes — they have kissed.
In the past, Shauna’s family expressed anxiety about her dating since she appears to be much younger than her actual age. They worry she will attract men with bad intentions. However, Dan doesn’t seem to be harmful.
“I see Shauna as this incredible 23-year-old woman who just happens to be a little bit short,” he says in the teaser.
And that’s not all — he wants to travel the world with her.
“There’s other places more exciting than Long Island but will come back to see you. We could keep exploring Long Island or you could join me and we could explore somewhere else. I think Europe’s a nice first step,” Dan tells Shauna in the episode.
Without a doubt, that’s something that Shauna’s family is probably going to have an issue with. They want her to have more independence, but a spontaneous trip to Europe seems outside their comfort zone. Fans will have to tune in and see how it all plays out.
The TLC star’s family crashed one date — will they really let her go to Europe?
Fans can’t say for sure what happened, but they just can’t picture Shauna’s family allowing her to go to Europe with a man she met online. As fans saw earlier in the season, Shauna’s sister and stepdad crashed her date with Tom the firefighter.
There’s a lot of love in this family, but Shauna will have to make some tough decisions if she wants to be truly independent.
