This is what led to the battle of Ragnarok. It is a tournament with 13 notable humans from different points of history battling against 13 powerful gods engaged in death duels. The only way humanity will be spared is if their side achieves 7 victories in the competition. In order to keep the duels even, each of the competing humans is granted the assistance of a valkyrie. Furthermore, they can transform into powerful weapons. These valkyries can modify themselves into any combat style as needed by the user and are known as Volund.
