Michael Allio, Danielle Maltby Take Two Huge Steps In Relationship
The Bachelor in Paradise reunion episode aired Tuesday night and the couples and ex-couples faced each other for the first time since their finale was filmed in Mexico. One couple who chose to continue their relationship post-show but not get engaged is Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby. Now, they are revealing two huge steps in their relationship. Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby share an update
Michael Allio has been skeptical about finding love again after his wife Laura passed away from cancer. He walked away from Katie Thurston on The Bachelorette. He also pushed Sierra Jackson away during Season 8 of BIP.
Then, Danielle Maltby walked onto the beach and changed his life. They were both obviously smitten with one another from the moment they met. They admitted to talking on social media but never actually met in person.
Their affection towards one another continued to grow as the season wrapped up. Now, tonight at the reunion, Michael shared something with Danielle for the first time.
Michael said to Danielle, “I’ve only ever said I love you to one person in my life, but I love you.” Danielle was stunned and said, “I’m shocked as s–t right now.”
This wasn’t the only surprise they had for their followers.
They made a second huge announcement
After Michael declared his love for Danielle, she announced that she is moving to Akron, Ohio. This is of course where Michael lives with his son James. She says she is not moving in with Michael but will have her own place while they continue to date.
Speaking of his son James, Danielle and he gets along great. She noted how much she loves James as Michael said, “She’s remarkable with him and that’s no surprise at all.”
Their love story continues to unfold and fans can’t wait to see them continue to grow in the future. Michael noted during the season that he may have just gone on the last first date of his life.

There were some bumps
Danielle and Michael have not experienced many bumps in their relationship. However, Sierra Jackson was a big one. She was not happy with how her own relationship with Michael played out.
He told her he wasn’t ready to get serious but she questioned all that when she saw how quickly he connected with Danielle.
In their most recent drama, Danielle and Kaitlyn Bristowe were called out for referring to Sierra as what’s her name during Kaitlyn’s podcast.
Kaitlyn has since apologized to Sierra. So far, Danielle has not.
