Gabby Windey Details ‘DWTS’ Wardrobe Malfunction
Gabby Windey didn’t take home the Mirrorball Trophy during her run on Dancing With The Stars, but she definitely has a lot to be proud of. After 10 grueling weeks in the ballroom, she and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy ended up coming in second place behind Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas.
During the finale, they performed two incredibly exciting routines. Both performances earned perfect 40s from judges. But even so, Gabby had a bit of a mishap during her freestyle routine. Read on to get the inside information on her embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
Gabby Windey performed a sensual freestyle routine complete with red lace
No matter how hard Dancing With The Stars contestants practice, there are sometimes unexpected obstacles when they actually enter the ballroom. It’s clear that Gabby and Val put their heart and soul into their routines. However, they did encounter a bit of a hiccup during the freestyle portion of the night.
For Gabby and Val’s freestyle routine, they chose “Cellblock Tango” from Chicago. Gabby’s costume was absolutely stunning — and also incredibly racy. During the routine, one of her heels got stuck in the red lace of her dress.
“My foot got caught in a stitch,” Gabby told Us Weekly after her performance. “You have to stick the skirt to the pantie because Disney+ is very prude.”
But even so, the judges happily awarded Gabby and Val a perfect 40/40. Len Goodman commented on the wardrobe mishap but noted that they powered through it as best as they could.
At the end of the night, Gabby and Val took home second place. It was an incredibly close competition and they performed well.

The Bachelorette star gets a little flirty in the ballroom
Gabby Windey may have starred on The Bachelorette this year, but her romance with Erich Schwer is already over. It’s not immediately clear if she’s started dating again, but many fans would love to see her strike up a romance with Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino. Both performed on DWTS this year and plan to go on the tour in 2023.
So far, their “romance” boils down to playful flirting. But Gabby has admitted they are friends and that he “cheers her up.”
During the interview with Us Weekly, Gabby admitted she would accept a date if Vinny decided to ask her out.
“I would at this point. I could use a pick me up,” she told the publication.
For now, fans will have to stay tuned and see if anything develops between the two. They’ll definitely be spending a lot of time together over the next few months on tour.
