GMA Host Braves Through Pain, Aces A Marathon Run
It seems like this has been a great few weeks for the journalist. As per The Sun, hours before his marathon run last week, he caused concern with fans after he shared his health status on Instagram. The host revealed that he has an IT (iliotibial) band issue on his left leg. It is a painful condition in which the connective tissues in the legs rub against the thighbone.
However, even with the pain, the GMA host seemed excited about the run across the Verrazano Bridge during the NYC marathon. Concerned fans asked Holmes to be careful with his knee.
One wrote, “While every situation is different, please don’t risk forever damage to your knee. I promise you it’s not worth the suffering and lack of mobility plus lack of treatment options.”
He was accompanied by his co-host Amy Robach, who also shared a picture of herself on Instagram before the marathon commenced.
