Are the Bringing Up Bates stars taking “Christ” off of their promotions, or is there just a big misconception? Fans are accusing the family of being hypocritical, but there may be more to the story. Keep reading for all of the details.

The Bates Sisters Boutique shares new ads.

If you didn’t know, Carlin and Evan Stewart run the Bates Sisters Boutique alongside Zach and Whitney. The online boutique offers a variety of women’s clothing and accessories. Recently, they have been promoting their holiday items. In a series of new ads on their Instagram page, they have been showing off gorgeous dresses to wear to church or parties, as well as graphic tee shirts with festive sayings.

However, their ads haven’t been too well-received by some fans. The family is now receiving some backlash over the way they’ve phrased some of their promotional content.

Bringing Up Bates fans accuse the family of hypocrisy.

In a new post on the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, a fan pointed out that Whitney and Carlin used the word “holiday” when promoting the boutique’s new collection. A fan accused them of being “hypocrites,” noting, “They say they are Christians and they are literally taking the word CHRISTmas off their stuff.”

Is it all just a big misconception?

It looks like this might have just been a misconception. While some of Whitney and Carlin’s posts contain the word “holiday,” others include “Christmas.” This week, they have shared several promotions on the boutique’s Instagram page. In the caption of one post, they promoted festive pajamas and told fans that there are more “Christmas pieces” on their site.

You can see the post below.

On the boutique’s website, the new collection is called both a holiday collection and a Christmas collection. So, it looks like there was simply a misunderstanding. Some fans pointed out that the ladies might be trying to promote these pieces for every holiday from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day. If the pieces were only for Christmas festivities, they wouldn’t need to use the word “holiday.”

They make more sales by promoting their items for the entire holiday season rather than just Christmas. So, it looks like Bringing Up Bates fans can rest assured that the family is still using the word “Christmas.”

So, do you think that the Bates Sisters Boutique was attempting to take “Christ” off of their promotions? Or do you think they simply want to promote their items throughout the whole holiday season?
