Dean McDermott Is Back With Another Series, What Is It?
It has been confirmed that Dean McDermott and his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, are in talks with Netflix about a reality television series. The former couple is ready to bring cameras behind the scenes and into their lives. Evidently, the show will follow McDermott and his ex-wife while documenting their “personal dynamic.” So, what can viewers expect? Keep reading to discover all of the details that have been revealed so far.
Dean McDermott And Mary Jo’s Podcast
Many people may be surprised to find out that McDermott and his ex-wife launched a podcast together on November 3. The couple, who married in 1993 and divorced in 2006, have a good relationship with each other. More importantly, they are able to discuss a wide range of topics.
“This is our jam because I’ve done like 900 episodes of cooking shows and lifestyle shows, and Dean’s done a million movies and TV,” Mary Jo said in an interview with The Sun.
So far, on their podcast, they’ve discussed past/future relationships, hatred, divorce, and friendship. However, Dean McDermott and Mary Jo Eustace don’t want to stop there. They hope to work with Netflix and allow fans another glimpse into their lives from a different angle. Mary Jo Eustace teased the possibility in a recent Instagram post.

A Reality TV Show About Exes
According to McDermott, the new series would be similar to Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, which aired from 2007 to 2012. Tori & Dean followed McDermott’s relationship with Tori Spelling.

Obviously, the new series would have a completely different feel because Mary Jo Eustace and Dean McDermott are no longer together. “So we would love to translate this into a TV show about exes. It could be super cool — the personal dynamic [between Dean and I] will definitely be in there for sure,” Mary Jo said.
Most importantly, Mary Jo and Dean say that their main goal is to grow their brand to better help others. McDermott said eventually he’d like to branch out from the Netflix series to do keynote speaking and other events.
The Netflix proposal isn’t the only project Dean McDermott has cooking right now though. My Fake Boyfriend, which was McDermott’s most recent project, was released in June. He will begin filming on Hudson & Rex this week. So, if a Netflix show is in the works it likely won’t be for a while.
