Katie Bates Holds Back Tears Over Fans’ Harsh Assumptions
Bringing Up Bates star Katie Bates is holding back tears and getting emotional over fans’ harsh assumptions about her. She and her husband Travis Clark allowed fans to submit their assumptions about them and then responded, revealing whether fans were correct. However, it looks like one of these was too harsh for Katie to handle. Keep reading for all of the details.
If you’re subscribed to Katie and Travis’ YouTube channel, you might have seen their recent assumptions video. They allowed fans to send in assumptions about them via Instagram and later used them to film a video. The couple addressed a variety of topics, from speculation that their marriage was arranged to the use of birth control.
While Katie Bates seemed to handle most of these assumptions well and she and Travis Clark knew just what to say, one wasn’t so easy for her to hear.
Katie Bates gets hit hard by one harsh assumption.
Travis prefaced it by saying Katie wasn’t going to be happy about this assumption. He explained that someone accused her of being “snobby.” She quickly denied it and said, “I am not snobby.”
Travis admitted that this assumption was “mean” and argued that it was likely due to social media. He thought that people might think his wife is snobby based on how she comes across on Instagram, despite them both claiming it’s not true.
Katie Bates continued, “I do not feel like I’m snobby and I definitely don’t try to be snobby. So, that kinda makes me a little bit sad. I might get a little emotional over here with my pregnancy.”
Then, she said it might make her cry. As she talked, she sounded like she was trying to hold back tears and looked pretty sad about fans thinking she is snobby.
Travis reassured his wife that she isn’t snobby and said that they often try to fight the perception that she is. He blamed social media and the fact that fans only get a little glimpse into their lives online.
Fortunately, most of the other assumptions were positive and easier for Katie and Travis to handle. They seemed to have fun with this video.
