Janelle Brown Was Doubtful About Being In A Plural Marriage

Kody’s treatment of Janelle has been so bad over the years that there have been instances where she wondered if being a part of a polygamist relationship is right for her. Back in Season 16, she was seen reflecting in her confessional and said, “I’ve caught myself in the last few weeks really reflecting and being like, ‘OK, look: do I still choose plural marriage?’ Yeah, I still choose it, but I’ve had to [make] that conscious decision with myself.”

“My children are almost grown and there’s not a huge necessity anymore to stay. It was a wonderful way to raise children. With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained, and you know it’d be really easy, it’s easy to walk away,” she explained.

Janelle Brown Ended Up With No Home Even With A Job

While there is an obvious strain in her relationship with Kody, Janelle also ended up with no home. Moreover, she was financially abused for years. Even though she had a full-time job, she literally ended up with nothing. Kody was all in for Robyn getting a house but he never supported Janelle, who ultimately ended up getting a fifth-wheel trailer to live in.

The family owns Coyote Pass, of which Robyn has the highest cut which is worth $320,000. On the other hand, Janelle’s property cut is worth $260,000 followed by Christine’s cut which is worth $150,000. The smallest part of the land is with Meri, worth only $90,000. There is no confirmation that proves Christine sold her Coyote Pass portion yet. However, fans speculate that she has already sold her share to Kody.

Plural Marriage Cost Janelle Her Financial Security

Although Janelle does own the land, she doesn’t have the finances to build a house on it. Moreover, Kody didn’t support her financially as he did Robyn. So, now she lives in a fifth-wheel trailer instead of a home.
