The long wait is over — 1000-Lb. Best Friends Season 2 is officially on its way to TLC.

For many months, fans suspected that filming was already underway. They began to get suspicious when Vannessa Cross refused to upload any full-body photos. By the end of the summer, the cast members started posting more frequently on Instagram. They suspected that TLC was about to make an announcement about the second season and the cast members were getting fans excited about new content.

1000-Lb. Best Friends Season 2 arrives on TLC after the new year begins

Fans have been eager to hear any news at all about 1000-Lb. Best Friends Season 2 all summer long. Anytime the women uploaded a new post, fans would flood the comments section and ask for updates. But due to contractual obligations with TLC, they had to keep their lips sealed.

Now, they’re finally breaking their silence.

Breakout star Vannessa Cross confirmed the information herself in an Instagram post.

“Going crazy season two y’all!!!! I’m so happy,” she captioned the post.

Ashely made her own post, writing, “@meghan_1000lbbestfriends @tina_arnold1kbf @vannessa_1kbestfriends & I are back for SEASON TWOOOOO! It will premiere on January 4th on @TLC.”

January 4, 2023 is a Wednesday, so fans can probably expect to catch the newest episodes of 1000-Lb. Best Friends Season 2 weekly on Wednesday nights.
