Aubrey Plaza Reveals Her Inspiration For Joining MCU’s ‘Agatha’
Parks And Recreation alum Aubrey Plaza will play a mysterious role in the upcoming MCU WandaVision spinoff titled Agatha: Coven Of Chaos. Although the star kept it mum regarding her special role in the spinoff series, she did share the details of what inspired her to be a part of the MCU. What did she reveal? Aubrey Plaza Excited To Work Alongside Kathryn Hahn
The 38-year-old played the character of April Ludgate in the NBC comedy series Parks And Recreation. Although she didn’t get a chance to work a lot with Agatha’s lead character, Kathryn Hahn in the series, she is excited to work with her again. In conversation with In The Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast, Plaza revealed her reason for joining the MCU.

She said, “It’s all coming together for me with this part. Kathryn Hahn, she’s a friend of mine; I’ve known her for years. We shared a couple of moments onscreen in Parks And Recreation 10 years ago, but I’ve never gotten to work with her, really.”

“She’s one of the most incredible actresses that’s working today. She’s a friend of mine. She speaks my language. To be able to get on screen with her and go toe-to-toe with her is what’s driving me. I think it’s cool that it’s Marvel and all that, but I’m really just interested to work with Kathryn Hahn,” she continued.
What Was Hahn’s Role In Parks And Recreations?
While Plaza was not a lead character in Parks And Recreations for all seven seasons, Hahn made guest appearances as Jennifer Barkley, a savvy political operative. She later starred in shows such as HBO’s Mrs. Fletcher, Prime’s Transparent, and Apple TV’s Central Park. As per CBR.com, Hahn became a part of the Marvel universe after she joined the WandaVision series as Agatha Harkness.

She played the role of a centuries-old witch that attempted to steal Wanda’s power. She even revealed Wanda’s destiny as the Scarlet Witch. More so, on October 2021, a spinoff starring Agatha was announced with Hahn in the lead role.
Joe Locke To Possibly Play Wanda’s Son Billy Maximoff
Apart from Plaza and Hahn, Coven Of Chaos will also mark the return of Sarah Proctor portrayed by Emma Caufield Ford. She played a resident at Westview who played Dottie Jones in Wanda’s fantasy sitcom series. Also joining the spinoff series are Eric Andre, Sasheer Zamata, and Joe Locke in undisclosed roles.

However, Locke did provide some hints about his role stating. He plays a gay teen with a dark sense of humor. This caused fans to speculate that he’ll play a fresh iteration of one of Wanda’s superpowered children, Billy Maximoff/Wiccan. In Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and WandaVision, Julian Hillard was cast in this role.
