As TV Shows Ace reported, Kelly Jo Bates broke the sad news earlier this week that her mom, Betty Jo Pitcher, passed away. Over the weekend, she went to the emergency room with RSV and ended up having complications. She was almost 84 years old.
Throughout the week, the adult Bates children have been speaking out about their grandmother’s death on Instagram. They have posted special memories and great pictures from over the years. Over the years, they had many wonderful times with their “Meema.”

It looks like Carlin Bates truly felt the love from fans. On Wednesday, after many fans messaged her about her grandmother’s death, she took to social media to thank them. She shared a tear-filled selfie via her Instagram Stories and said that is what she looked like as she read “all your messages about my grandmother.” She added a crying emoji and then thanked everyone for messaging her.
Though this is a challenging time for all of the Bates family members, they are fortunate to have each other. Plus, fans’ kind words are helping them push through.
Carlin Bates’ sister Michael Keilen also took to Instagram to thank her followers for all of the love and support. She shared a few snaps of Betty Jo and showed her appreciation for all of the kind messages she’s received.
