DWTS just presented its 90s Night episode. It was certainly a night to remember for the contestants and viewers at home. This week, there was a double elimination. Now only the top six couples remain and they’re headed to the semifinals.

Who exactly made the cut and whose journey ended tonight?

DWTS travels back in time for a night of 90s music

Dancing With The Stars Season 31 is all about themed nights. Tonight, the top eight couples performed 90s-themed routines that really captivated the audience’s attention. Each couple performed an individual routine before engaging in the dance-off round. There was a lot at stake for the top eight couples. And at the end of the night, DWTS said goodbye to two more participants.

Who managed to top the leaderboard and who went home at the end of the night?

When it came to the individual routines, there were several perfect scores. But those alone weren’t enough to stay in the competition. Contestants also needed bonus points from the dance-off round in addition to votes from fans at home.

Since there was a double elimination tonight, that means there were three couples in the bottom. This week, it was Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev, Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki, and Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater.

Heidi and Artem were the first couple to leave from the bottom three. Few viewers were surprised, as they had ended up in the bottom several times now.

After that, it was up to the judges. The judges unanimously voted to save Trevor and Emma, which also didn’t come as a surprise to fans. The judges continuously scored Vinny and Koko very poorly week after week.

Wayne Brady and Witney Carson ended up tying for a top spot in the leaderboard along with Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas.

The semifinals begin next week with the top six couples

The night started off with eight couples and now the show is down to six. The semifinals are coming up next and everyone wants a spot in the season finale. It’s a double elimination night, so the remaining contestants need votes.

The Dancing With The Stars semifinals start next Monday night at 8 PM eastern time and 5 PM pacific. Don’t forget to tune in and see who the Season 31 finalists will be! Everyone has worked so hard to get this far. It will be heartbreaking to send more couples home, but the competition is nearly over.
