Netflix Confirms ‘Gyeongseong Creature’ Renewed Season 2
Netflix’s upcoming k-drama series Gyeongseong Creature Season 1 will soon premiere on the streaming platform. However, the good news is, the series has been already renewed for another season ahead of its premiere. Directed by Jung Dong-Yoon, the series is set in 1945 in South Korea’s Gyeongseong city which is the old name for current-day Seoul. So, when does Gyeongseong Creature Season 1 premiere? The upcoming South Korean series is a Netflix Original historical thriller series with Kang Eun Kyung as the screenwriter. The k-drama stars popular actors like Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon.

Netflix subscribers are familiar with Park Seo Joon who was also a part of the series Itaewon Class in the role of Park Sae Roy. On the other hand, Han So Hee is recognizable as My Name’s Yoon Ji Woo.
What Is Gyeongseong Creature About?
Gyeongseong Creature tells the story of people in a time when their sovereignty and rights were taken away. The youths had to put their lives on the line for the sake of happiness. Jang Tae-Sang, a wealthy man portrayed by Park Seo-Joon is also the most attractive man in Gyeongseong’s Bukchon area. Looks aside, he is also a reliable source of information in the area. His talents include the ability to quickly react to situations, having a keen insight, and even a sense of sociability. This is what led him to his current position of power.

However, after he gets involved with Yoon Chae-Ok, played by Han So-Hee, it causes him to re-evaluate his priorities. Yoon Chae is popular as a todugun, a person who finds missing people. Yoon Chae developed several skills like using knives, shooting guns, and even handling certain machines.
When Does Gyeongsang Creature Season 1 Premiere?
As per What’s On Netflix, Gyeongseong Creature Season 1 will premiere in the early half of 2023. However, no confirmed release date has been revealed yet. On the other hand, filming for Season 2 is reportedly scheduled to start in early 2023 right after Season 1 premieres. So, fans can expect the second season to arrive sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.

The series also stars Claudia Kim as Maeda from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald and Avengers: Age Of Ultron. She plays the wife of a powerful official based in Gyeongseong.
