‘Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear’ Season 2 Premiere Date Revealed
The Isekai anime series Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Season 2 has finally received a premiere date. Based on the light novel series of the same name, the anime adaptation first premiered in October 2020 on Crunchyroll. Written by Takashi Aoshima, the first season had a total of 12 episodes and tells the tale of a bored teenage girl who accidentally finds herself inside her favorite game. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Is Back After Two Years of Hiatus
The series’ exceptional animation comes from EMT Squared with Yuu Nobuta as the director. Funimation also announced an English dub for the series that premiered the day following its premiere in North America. The renewal of the isekai series for a second season was announced on December 23, 2020, with the main cast and crew returning.

As per Crunchyroll, the second season is slated to premiere in April 2023. So, almost two years after its first season aired, the series is now out of its hibernation with some more of Yuna’s story for fans.

The official synopsis of the series reads:
“Yuna is a 15-year-old girl who enjoys playing the world’s first VRMMO. Having earned billions of yen in stocks, she confines herself to her house to continue playing. After a huge update arrives, she obtains a rare bear outfit, but it is so embarrassing she can’t even wear it. After a survey though, she finds herself in an unknown forest wearing the bear outfit. Where is this? Email from God? Different world? Wearing the bear outfit, she’s a cheat but without it, she’s just a normal girl. As her adventure begins like that, Yuna does what she always does, whatever she likes!”
Why Is Yuna Stuck With Her Bear Outfit In The Game World?
In the series, the protagonist Yuna has all the generic isekai powers, just that hers are all bear-shaped. For example, if she uses earth magic to create a wall, it would either have a bear pattern imprinted into it, or feature a bear shape. Although the rules aren’t well defined, the manifestation is mostly related to bear somewhere or another.

At the start, Yuna is surprised to see herself become a part of her favorite game. However, she later accepts her fate given that she didn’t have much going on in her original life outside of gaming. The only issue is, she now has to be in the bear Kigurumi. She cannot abandon it as it gives her an insane stat boost. Yet, she doesn’t wish to wear the same in public. Viewers will get to see how this predicament unfolds for Yuna in season two.
