Joy Forsyth Faces Pregnancy Complications: ‘A Lot To Process’
Former Counting On star Joy Forsyth is currently pregnant with her third baby, but she is facing pregnancy complications. She got some disappointing news about her pregnancy at her last doctor’s appointment. The 25-year-old admitted that it’s “a lot to process.” So, what’s going on?
The Duggar daughter announced her pregnancy in October. She already shares two-year-old Evelyn and four-year-old Gideon with her husband, Austin Forsyth. They are very excited to welcome a third little one to their family in a few months.
Sadly, in between having Gideon and Evelyn, Joy Forsyth did suffer a loss about halfway through her pregnancy. Fortunately, at 11 weeks along with this baby, things seem to be going pretty well. She does have a complication, which she talked to fans about on YouTube.
What’s going on with her pregnancy?
In a new YouTube video, which she posted on Friday, Joy Forsyth updated fans after her doctor’s appointment. She revealed that they are starting her on daily blood thinner shots.
In the description of her video, Joy explained that, due to her previous pregnancy loss and an MTHFR diagnosis, her doctor thinks it’s best to have the shots.
The former Counting On star shared with fans, “MTHFR can cause blood clots in the cord going to baby so I’m going to start blood thinner shots daily to prevent my blood from clotting so it will be thin enough to pass through the cord and baby stays healthy. It’s a lot to process, but I’m thankful we found this out now and at the beginning of pregnancy!”
Hopefully, the shots are able to make a difference and prevent any complications. Fortunately, the baby is moving and growing as it should be at this point.

On her Instagram Stories on Saturday, Joy talked about her doctor’s appointment and told fans that she received some surprising news. She urged her followers to head to her YouTube video to get all of the details about the situation.
Since the YouTube video was recorded a little while ago, Joy also gave her followers an update on Saturday. She said that she gave herself some of the shots and now, Austin is able to give them to her, which helps.
