What Is Hallmark’s The Royal Nanny About?

According to the Hallmark synopsis, it is three weeks before Christmas. An MI5 Officer Claire (Skarsten) discovers a credible threat against the British Monarchy. Therefore, her assignment is to go undercover at Kensington Palace.

There, she will be the new Royal Nanny, to protect the two young heirs to the throne.

However, Claire may not be the most ideal person to act as a nanny. Under the expert tutelage of Ms. Lansbury (Scacchi), who has spent the past three decades training nannies for the royals, she gets up to speed. Claire is prepared for every situation.

Princess Rose (Sheridan) welcomes Claire to Kensington. She is the Future Queen of England with two mischievous children, Princess Elle (Wilson), and Prince Robert (Laroche).

The young royals are experts at scaring away nannies. They have scared away their previous caretakers. But, Claire is not easily scared.

Soon, Claire becomes a “trusted confidante,” and “makes the lives of everyone in the royal household better.”

“At the same time, sparks fly between Claire and Prince Colin (Jeannotte), Rose’s younger brother, but complications arise when MI5 comes to wrongly suspect a member of the royal family may be directly involved in the plot against the throne. Claire puts her career as well as her life on the line to protect not only the man she is falling for, but also the Royal Family, a family she has come to feel as if she’s become a part of.”
