Former Bringing Up Bates star Katie Bates Clark is once again under fire for her social media activity. She shared a couple of new Instagram Stories that got fans talking online. They’re accusing her of being fake and calling out her desperation just to make a quick buck. What did Katie do? Keep reading for all of the details.
Recently, fans have been slamming Katie for constantly pushing products online. She seems to get quite a few social media partnerships with various companies. When she promotes their products to her 200,000 followers, she makes money. She may also receive a commission on the sales made with her exclusive promotional codes.
Fans feel that Katie Bates only posts ads these days. She doesn’t seem to share too much on social media unless she has a product to push, her followers have argued online. And now, she’s gotten them all worked up again.

On Thursday, Katie hopped back onto her Instagram Stories to ask fans for a couple of suggestions. She’s specifically looking for a good pregnancy pillow and also wants a recommendation for a stretch mark moisturizer. She put up a question box for fans to submit their recommendations.

After seeing Katie Bates’ new Instagram Stories, fans rushed to Reddit to discuss them. One fan asked why Katie doesn’t just text her sisters for help. After all, many of her sisters have been pregnant themselves and may have good recommendations for her.
However, a couple of other Bringing Up Bates fans were quick to point out why Katie might have opted to go to Instagram instead. This gives her the opportunity to share affiliate links and make money when other fans buy the recommended products. Or she could be trying to land a sponsorship deal with another company as a way to make some extra cash.
Someone asked, “is this how she gets companies to give her products to advertise?”
Another Bringing Up Bates fan added, “Can’t get sponsors asking your sisters!”
“It’s probably because she already has a sponsor and will post about it, how some of the followers said this xyz brand is the best and she got it and how the brand kindly give her a discount code for her followers,” said someone else.
