Fushi Takes Big Loss: ‘To Your Eternity’ Season 2 Ending Explained
Popular fantasy anime series To Your Eternity recently premiered its second season on Crunchyroll on October 23, 2022. In the series’ Season 2 Episode 2, fans got to see the protagonist, Fushi, deal with a big loss. Titled Beating Will, the episode sees Tonari slip away from him. For the unversed, Tonari is a 14-year-old young girl with green eyes and tan skin. Fushi meets her on the Island of Jananda where she used to be a chief before traveling as a doctor alongside Sandel.
What Happened To Tonari On To Your Eternity?
In the episode, Tonari is attacked by the Nokker on Hisame’s arm. Although Fushi does reunite with her, the duo doesn’t get to spend a lot of time together. Fans see that she soon passes away from her injuries. After Tonari’s death, Fushi embarks on a journey to explore new cities and make new friends. After everyone is unconscious from the poison, Hisame is shocked to see Tonari still awake. She then explains that she has been regularly consuming small amounts of the poison to develop a strong resilience for the same. As she explains the same, her eyes suddenly fall on Hisame’s hand holding the Nokker. Right then, she decided to sever it from her. As it turns out, it becomes the biggest mistake of her life.
Fushi Meets Hisame After Tonari’s Death
As she approaches Hisame with the knife in her hand, the Nokker suddenly attacks Tonari which leaves her breathless. However, even as she gasps for breath, Tonari asks her pet Ligard to take Hisame down. The pet eagle uses poison in its claws which immediately renders Hisame unconscious. However, it doesn’t affect the Nokker in her hand which drags her unconscious body out of the window.

This is when it dawns on Tonari that the Nokker released towards her are now deep in her body and her fate is sealed. The next day, Fushi wakes up from his sleep and meets his friend. The duo share with one another moments from the past before Tonari tells Fushi to keep his friends in his memories. Bidding a final goodbye to his old friend, Fushi continued his journey to finally meet Hisame.
When Does To Your Eternity Season 2 Episode 3 Air?
Fushi finds Hisame in the jungle walking towards him. He immediately approaches her and realizes that she isn’t doing well. His attempt to sever the Nokker from her hand fails after which they decide to seek help from the grown-ups. On their way, the duo decides to rest at night. As per The Cinemaholic, that’s when Hisame informs Fushi that she wishes to reveal Hayase’s secret wish to him.

Hisame reveals that she plans to have his daughter and explains that doing this will make her late grandmother and her mother very happy. However, with no clear understanding of human reproduction, they assume that sleeping together does the deal for them. The next day, Fushi leaves Hisame in the care of her people. This is when Kansatsusha warns that his daughter with Hisame will return for him while Fushi reveals nothing really happened between the two.
