As Welcome to Plathville viewers may know, Micah has been living in Los Angeles, California, but he seems to travel back to Georgia and Florida to see his family frequently. This most recent trip back to Florida was pretty scary, however. While in Florida, he witnessed a shocking moment.
On his Instagram Stories on Sunday evening, Micah Plath shared a screenshot from a news article from the Tallahassee Democrat. The article is about a shooting that took place late on Saturday night.
According to the article, one person was killed and eight were injured after an “amazing amount of gunfire.”
A press release noted that the mass shooting was on West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee near Half Time Liquors and Los Compadres. Multiple people fired shots into a crowd.
In his post, Micah revealed to fans just how close he was to this incident. He wrote:
“This happened about 800ft from me and a buddy this morning while I was putting gas in my bike. Prayers for the injured and family of the deceased.”

Was Micah Plath hurt in this shooting?
From Micah’s post, it sounds like he and his friend were not harmed. He didn’t state that he was shot at or that he had any injuries. And he likely would have added those details while talking about it.
Despite him not being physically injured, this certainly sounds like a scary, traumatic situation. At just 800 feet away, this was a terrifying incident for Micah to witness. Hopefully, the Welcome to Plathville star is doing okay emotionally. Since he shared with fans that he would be praying for those involved, he may have shared this post to encourage others to do the same.
