‘BIP’ Couple Joe Amabile & Serena Pitt Are Officially Married
Love is in the air in Bachelor Nation. After several engagements this week a fan-favorite couple surprised everyone and got married. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt are husband and wife. Keep reading to find out more and see their video.
Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile are married
Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt went to Instagram to share that they decided to get married. They did it quietly in a New York City city hall on Thursday morning.
The newlyweds spoke with People following their ceremony. Joe and Serena got engaged last summer on Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise. Since then they have done the long-distance thing and now have a place together in New York.
Joe said, “We have always known marriage was in our future, it just looked a little bit different than we expected.”
The couple went to Instagram to share a video of their ceremony and captioned it, “JUST MARRIED !! We are still having a wedding this September but who doesn’t want to get married twice!”
They also said to People, “We still plan on having a big wedding next fall that we are already planning, but with everything being so public in our relationship, having a private moment just the two of us felt so special and intimate.”
Joe and Serena are still very excited to share their wedding with friends and family. Natasha Parker, who was also on their season of BIP and cohosts a podcast, was their witness.
Their relationship
Joe and Serena are fan favorites of the franchise and have a huge fan base that follows them. Everyone has cheered their relationship on.
They took the next big step and moved into together in March 2022. In August 2022, Joe and Serena had an elegant engagement party in Toronto.
When speaking of their engagement party Serena had said, “I think my parents originally brought the idea to us for an engagement party, just because we obviously had an unconventional engagement.” She continued, “We got engaged and it was a secret for a period of time. So this was a nice idea to bring some of our family and close friends together to celebrate a whole year later.”
Now they are married. So far they have not said exactly why they decided to go ahead and get married now.
