Wendy Williams made her first post-rehab appearance. Two months ago, she checked into a wellness center for her alcohol addiction. On Friday, October 21, Wendy looked like her old self again. She was photographed with a smile on her face among friends in New York City.
She returned “home and healing” after her two-month stint. The former talk show host is still planning her big comeback. Wendy is expected to start her own podcast. She had to focus on her health and well-being.
Update on the former talk show host
Earlier this month, Wendy Williams left the wellness facility after spending two months there. According to her publicist Shawn Zanotti, she entered the rehab to “manager her overall health issues.” As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Wendy was dealing with her ongoing health issues from Graves’ Disease and her battle with alcohol addiction.
“Wendy is excited about the road ahead and is looking forward to releasing her many projects. She wants to say, ‘thank you to my fans for your love, support, and many prayers, I am back and better than ever,'” Shawn shared with E! Online.
Last month, Wendy Williams’ publicist shared in a statement that she was planning her comeback. However, she was “taking some time to focus on her health and wellness.” In September 2021, Wendy announced that she was dealing with “ongoing medical issues” and took an extended hiatus from The Wendy Williams Show, which was canceled earlier this year.
Several celebrity guest hosts filled in during Season 13 of the show. Sherri Shepard now has her own series, Sherri, run by The Wendy Williams Show production company. The former talk show host struggled to make a comeback. Her interviews and sightings in the past few months concerned fans.
Wendy Williams smiles in a new photo
Wendy Williams had to disappear during that time. She was released from the facility located in Malibu, California. The 58-year-old made her first post-rehab appearance in a new photo on Instagram. On Friday night, Wendy visited friends in NYC just a week after leaving rehab.
In the photo posted on Christopher DiLella’s Instagram feed, the television personality had a big smile on her face. She was joined by Chris and his friends. Wendy Williams wore a black sweater with matching pants. Chris captioned the post: “HOW YOU DOIN? Thanks for a fun night.”
It’s unclear whether this meeting had to do with her new podcast called The Wendy Experience. Fans couldn’t help but notice how happy and healthy she looked since leaving rehab. They’re looking forward to Wendy earning her rightful spot in pop culture once again. Others were touched by this rare and candid photo.
