Bringing Up Bates Fans Fed Up With Katie & Travis Clark, Why?

Recently, fans took to Reddit to discuss Katie and Travis’ recent YouTube and Instagram content. And fans feel that they only use Instagram and YouTube to push products and make money. Because of Katie and Travis’ large social media following, companies will pay them to promote their products.

So, Katie may show off skincare products or hair styling items on her Instagram Stories. Then, she shares a promotional code with Bringing Up Bates fans. She may make commission based on how much her code was used or might be paid a flat rate for her advertisement. Several of her sisters do similar partnerships online.

In their most recent video, which was a 20-week pregnancy update, the couple shilled suitcases. This video, in particular, is what got fans talking. You can see Travis with the suitcases below.

One Reddit user found their suitcase ad particularly odd. The fan said, “About a third of their newest YouTube video (in the midst of the 20 week pregnancy update) was them shilling suitcases. It felt really weird and awkward.”

One Bringing Up Bates fan thinks they just want money so they can go all out decorating the nursery. They added, “Guessing they’ll shill whatever is paying.”

These days, Katie rarely posts on her Instagram Stories unless she’s got something to sell.

  1. A lot of social media people have certain companies reach out to them to see if they would like to partner with them. Yes they make a commission on the product. It’s the same with ads they get the revenue from the ad if we watch the ad all the way through. People just need someone else to bother.
