‘The View’ Sunny Hostin Gets Embarrassed In A Heated Debate
The View host Sunny Hostin was recently a recipient of first-hand embarrassment that happened during a heated debate among the panelists. On Monday, the 53-year-old interrupted an ongoing discussion between her co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Whoopi Goldberg. What happened on-air that led to an awkward moment for the TV journalist? Whoopi Goldberg Asks For Sunny’s Caller’s Identification
As Alyssa and Whoopi indulged in a political debate, Sunny’s cell phone started to ring and caught their attention. Although the mother of two tried not to pay attention to the call, Whoopi chimed in, “Hello, hello, hello.”
Sharing her screen with Whoopi, she said, “See who it is.”

Given that the 66-year-old moderator sat at the far end of the panel, she replied, “Who is it? You know I can’t read.”
“Gabriel Hostin,” Sunny replied, reading out her son’s name on her phone screen.
However, the panelists didn’t mind the on-air phone call and returned right back to their debate. Sunny did look embarrassed as she quietly silenced her phone turning it upside down to ensure it didn’t interrupt the debate anymore.
The View Panelists Discuss Platonic Co-Ed Sleepovers
As per The Sun, this isn’t the first time Sunny’s 19-year-old’s name has come up on The View. Last month, Alyssa made a shocking comment about Gabriel as they discussed the subject of teen platonic co-ed sleepovers.
Moderator Whoopi initiated the conversation and said, “There’s a couple of thoughts on this, but I’m asking many of you, where do you fall on this?”

“That’s a spin-the-bottle episode waiting to happen,” replied Sunny.
Co-host Sara Haines chimed in, “That just feels a little too ripe with opportunity.”
Alyssa Farrah Griffin Has A Snarky Remark For Sunny Hostin
During the debate, most of the panelists agreed that a co-ed sleepover would no doubt be a bad idea. However, Joy Behar had something else to share. She said, “There’s a lot of denial with mothers and fathers these days. They think their kids are not having sex, and they are.”
Sunny didn’t resonate with Joy’s statement and quickly responded, “Mine aren’t.”
As Joy shot Sunny a skeptical look and waved her off, she said, “So get with the program…”
Alyssa snickered in a response to Sunny and said, “I’ve seen pictures of your son.”

However, Whoopi cut Alyssa off before she could explain what she meant by that and went to a commercial break.
Sunny Hostin is married to Emmanuel Hostin, an orthopedic surgeon. The couple shares two children Gabriel, who was born in 2002 followed by Paloma who was born in 2006. During an interview, Sunny revealed how she and her husband struggled with her first pregnancy after which they eventually resorted to IVF.
