‘DWTS’: Joseph Baena Tears Up After His Emotional Exit
Dancing With The Stars viewers can clearly see how hard bodybuilder Joseph Baena has worked this season. That’s why they were particularly heartbroken to see him go home during the Prom Night elimination.
The 25-year-old and his partner Daniella Karagach found themselves in the bottom alongside Artem Chigvintsev and Heidi D’Amelio. Carrie Ann Inaba voted to save Joseph and Daniella, but the other three judges chose to save Heidi and Artem. Sadly, this meant that Joseph and Daniella’s time in the ballroom was over.

Joseph Baena describes his whirlwind of emotions on Monday
The Prom Night elimination was certainly hard to watch. No one wanted Joseph Baena nor Heidi D’Amelio to go home. But someone had to leave at the end of the night. But even though his time in the ballroom is over, Joseph doesn’t regret a single second of the competition.
“It was just like such an incredible experience to just be on the show and learn all these dances,” the 25-year-old said in an interview with ET after the episode ended. “I mean, what I’m really gonna take away from this is a sense of confidence in myself that I can do and learn new things, and that it’s worth a shot. Whatever challenges are ahead of me I know that I can overcome it and that it just takes discipline, effort, sweat, and tears.”
In another interview with Page Six, Joseph revealed that he started to cry when the judges confirmed his elimination. He just became overwhelmed with emotions during the experience.
“I’m just an emotional guy!” the bodybuilder joked. “No, but it’s meant the world to me to be on this show and to be with such amazing people.”
The best part was that his mother was able to attend the show during Prom Night, which meant she got to see her son perform one last time. Joseph Baena may be gone now, but fans can still keep up with him on Instagram. They can also catch his partner Daniella Karagach perform in extra numbers this season.
Without a doubt, they won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
Michael Buble Night continues without the pair
Fans are sad that Joseph and Daniella are gone, but the show must go on! Monday night will be Michael Buble Night. DWTS hasn’t released the official setlist yet, but it will be really exciting to see the top 10 contestants perform to the singer’s greatest hits. Michael Buble will also appear as a guest judge in the ballroom and Derek Hough will perform.
