Trent Johnston Risks Life On Family Outing

A new episode of 7 Little Johnstons premieres on Tuesday, October 18. Ahead of the premiere, TLC dropped a preview, showing fans what’s still to come. One activity has Trent a little bit anxious though.
Trent Johnston admits he’s risking his life
In the trailer, the Johnston family can be seen walking along the shore on their way to go paddle-boarding. Before getting started, Trent says, “I had choices. I could’ve gone and played golf, me and Jonah, at a really nice golf course here. But instead, I wanted to risk my life on the water today.”
This was filmed when the Johnstons were at the Little People of America Convention in Spokane, Washington earlier this year. In the video, Trent Johnston says that they have events and parties in the evenings at the convention. So, during the day, they need things to do, and that’s how they ended up paddle boarding.
It sounds like Trent isn’t so sure about paddle boarding and sees it as a pretty big risk.

In the trailer, viewers can watch the Johnston family put on their life vests and head out onto the water. Trent Johnston is responsible for helping send everyone out.
Trent and Amber agree that paddleboarding is a good activity for little people. They’ve done it a couple of times before too. Most of their kids seem to know what they’re doing out there and are pretty confident. Most of the family, including Joose Jeskanen, gives it a shot. Alex Johnston opts out of the activity because he’s afraid he will fall in and get soaked.

In a confessional, Jonah Johnston says that his dad is “the worst” at paddle-boarding. The trailer reveals that Trent doesn’t stand up on the paddle board. He just cruises around sitting down. But because he thinks he was risking his life out there, maybe he feels safer using this method.
