‘Bringing Up Bates’ Fans Rush To Josie Balka’s Defense, Why?
Bringing Up Bates fans are eager to defend Josie Balka against the haters. The former UPtv is being criticized for something she recently did, and now, fans are trying to show their support for her and shut down the negative comments. Keep reading for all of the details.
Bringing Up Bates fans question her beauty enhancements
The former Bringing Up Bates star recently released a promotional video for her online store, The Effortless Shop. She currently sells hair accessories and will soon add jewelry to the lineup. She’s very excited about this expansion and can’t wait for the jewelry collection to launch in a few days.
After seeing the video, fans had questions about Josie’s appearance. In a new post on the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, a fan pointed out that Josie’s skin tone looked “darker skinned than she actually is” in her new video. Below, you can see the comparison between Josie’s natural skin (left) and her skin tone in the shoot (right).

Other fans rush to Josie Balka’s defense
After reading this confession on Instagram, Bringing Up Bates fans have a lot to say about it. And many of them think the negative post about Josie’s appearance was unnecessary. Several Instagram users were quick to point out that the Bates daughter is wearing self-tanner and more makeup for the video. In the other photo, she appears to be wearing makeup, but the lighting is different. She may not have been wearing self-tanner in her car photo either.
One Bringing Up Bates fan said, “Lighting, angles, and filter could account for it.”
Another one chimed in, “She was at the beach before the shoot for a trip with Kelton.”
Someone else said, “Lots of people use self tanners.”
So, it looks like Josie has plenty of fans to back her up and defend her when the critics come her way. It seems like just a couple of fans had an issue with Josie’s appearance in the Effortless Shop video. One fan added that it was ironic that Josie was wearing so much makeup and self-tanner, given that her other company is called Effortless Beauty.
