Jessie James Decker gets raw and emotional on Disney+ Night

Monday was Disney+ Night. Jessie James Decker and Alan Bersten performed a Jive to “One Way Or Another” from Hocus Pocus 2. Although the pair had been hovering in the middle of the pack, they finally received a 31/40 from the judges. They could hardly believe it! However, the process was a lot more stressful. In the video package played before the performance, the country music star revealed she had been crying in the rehearsal room and having a really tough time that week.

“I felt like I had been trying to hold back those emotions,” Jessie revealed in an interview with Page Six. “I always like to stay positive, but I just couldn’t hold it back any longer.”

Dancing With The Stars films in Los Angeles, but Jessie’s husband and three children live in Nashville. She’s been flying back and forth a lot and it’s taking a huge toll on the singer’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

“I’ve had a hard time. It’s been the travel and everything that comes with it, and then on top of not being a dancer and having no background in this, I just felt like it was all just kind of crumbling down on me,” the singer admitted. “I just, I needed that release. And I think letting that release go was actually good for me.”

“Sometimes a breakdown creates a breakthrough,” her partner Alan added. He went on to say that Jessie is still in the competition for a reason. Her fans hope she will stay in the competition and perform well in week five.

What’s ahead for the couple in week five?

Right now, Jessie and Alan are putting the finishing touches on their routines for week five. This week, there will be two episodes instead of just one. Monday night will be “Most Memorable Year Night” while Tuesday will be “Prom Night.”

On Monday, the pair will perform the Tango to “Blue Jeans” by Jessie James Decker herself. On Tuesday, they will dance the Viennese Waltz to “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson. If you want Jessie and Alan to stay in the competition, you have to vote for them. Tune in this week and catch every second of the fun and action. You won’t want to miss out!
