Would John Stamos Do A ‘Full House’ Reboot Without Bob Saget?

News, Scripted

Is a Full House reboot on John Stamos’ mind after losing his beloved co-star, Bob Saget? For years, John and Bob were pals on the show and in real life. John played the role of Jesse Katsopolis, while Bob was Danny Tanner. The topic of another reboot recently came up, and John revealed where he stands on this idea. Keep reading to find out what he said.

Bob Saget’s unexpected death

Full House fans were devastated to hear the news of Bob’s passing earlier this year. In January, the actor and comedian suffered head trauma and died at the age of 65. This loss hit Full House fans very hard.

Months later, John Stamos and other Full House stars are grieving the loss of their long-time friend and co-star. The original show ran for a total of eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. Then, the series was rebooted as Fuller House, which lasted for five seasons from 2016 through 2020.

Would John Stamos agree to a Full House reboot?

Due to the popularity of the show and its loyal fanbase, John addressed whether a Full House reboot is in his future. He recently opened up to E! News about a reunion for another show. He explained, “It’s just not the same without him. There’s something missing, there’s a piece missing.”

Then, John Stamos added, “We’re doing a lot of tributes. I did that Netflix tribute [June’s Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute], which was beautiful, I thought. Every chance I get, I talk about him. If we’re real quiet, we could hear him complaining right now that I don’t talk about him enough.”

Finally, he said that he doesn’t think a Full House reboot without Bob is likely. He said, “We’ll continue to do tributes to him, but I don’t know about a Full House one, though.”

So, he doesn’t seem to be interested in trying to remake Full House without the iconic Danny Tanner. Long-time fans may feel the same way if a reboot did happen without Bob in the cast.
