Pregnant Joy Forsyth Allows Gideon’s Dangerous Play To Continue
Pregnant Joy Forsyth gave Counting On fans a peek into her life on Monday and revealed her son, Gideon’s dangerous playtime. The soon-to-be mother of three has been under fire in the past for letting her kids play in unsafe places or without shoes. Keep reading to get all of the details about what happened this time.
Joy and Austin have two kids, Gideon Martyn, 4, and Evelyn Mae, 2. They announced Joy’s pregnancy last week and will welcome baby number three to the world in May. Though the couple feels ready to grow their little family, fans find their parenting choices to be questionable.
Austin & Joy Forsyth’s parenting is often criticized
In the past, Duggar fans have shown concern for Gideon and Evelyn’s safety. In one Instagram post, Gideon was helping Austin work but wasn’t wearing the proper footwear to protect his feet. Other times, the kids have been seen barefoot at construction worksites.
A YouTube video also revealed a gun on the kitchen table within Gideon’s reach. Austin was previously slammed for going zip-lining with Gideon.
Gideon Forsyth continues playing dangerously
On her Instagram Stories on Monday, Joy Forsyth gave fans a glimpse into her life with her two kiddos and one more on the way. The mama shared a snap of Gideon as he took a break from his schoolwork to play on one of Austin’s construction vehicles. However, Gideon is barefoot.
You can see the photo below. The mom of two wrote, “Austin’s Dozer is his favorite playground.”
After seeing this photo from Joy Forsyth, Duggar fans and critics took to Reddit to discuss it. And many are concerned about Gideon’s safety. They are pointing out Gideon’s bare feet at a construction site and also mentioning that the little boy might try to play on a bulldozer when it’s actually on in the future.
One Reddit user said, “As someone who had a child relative killed by a piece of farm machinery this is not just irresponsible but terrifying. It’s off for now but he’s learning it’s a toy. Tragedy happens really fast.”
Someone else added, “Those things are dangerous, and no kid should be playing on them.”
Later, Joy shared a photo as she and Gideon enjoyed popsicles outside.
