Fans haven’t heard much from Anna Duggar and her seven kids recently. Josh Duggar is currently behind bars serving his 12-and-a-half-year sentence on child pornography charges. And Anna recently disappeared from Instagram.
Mackynzie Duggar celebrates her birthday
Though the Duggars themselves are quiet right now, there are still people posting about them online. Fan accounts reminded fans that Mackynzie’s birthday was on October 9. The eldest of Josh and Anna’s kids turned 13 years old. She’s also the eldest Duggar grandchild.
So far, no members of the Duggar family have acknowledged her birthday online, but elsewhere, fans realized what this birthday means for Mackynzie.
Fans are disturbed by what her future might hold
On Facebook, a post from a Duggar fan page was reposted. The fan page shared a photo of Mackynzie Duggar from a year and a half ago. They posted this on her birthday and made a shocking statement. The post reads:
“Today is Mackynzie’s 13th birthday. In a few years, she’ll have a family of her own and be an amazing mom.”

In the Duggar family, people get married in their late teens or early twenties and start their own families not too long after. So, it seems possible that this is what her future holds, too.
On Facebook, Duggar fans and critics are discussing this disturbing post about the heartbreaking truth about Mackynzie’s future. Many find this post disgusting. They just can’t believe someone would make those comments about a 13-year-old girl.
One Facebook user said, “That breaks my heart, those girls have zero options in life.”
A parent of a 13-year-old chimed in and said, “That really sickens me!!! My son is 13 and no way is he going to be married and have kids in a few years!!! He is my little boy still!!”
Of course, no one knows what Mackynzie’s future actually holds. But many fans agree that this disturbing post might actually hold the truth about what her life will look like in a few short years.

I got married at 19, had my first of 2 children at 22, became a Gram at the age of 46 (my son was 23 when his 1st child was born). I have family members just starting their families in their early 30’s and I think it’s better (and easier) in your 20’s. But some people want to believe you should wait. I think growing old together is easier if you start when you’re both young. You do have to be committed to making it work and that’s where many people have trouble. In the end, it doesn’t matter how old you are when you get married. The important thing is that you have similar goals and are committed to each other. And just because it does or doesn’t work for you, that doesn’t mean it can or can’t work for someone else
