Carlin Bates Shares How Mysterious Health Issues Test Her Faith
Former UPtv’s Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates Stewart is getting real about her faith in the good times and the bad. Unfortunately, she’s been struggling with mysterious health issues and is still waiting for answers. She recently admitted to fans that these things do test her faith. See what else she had to say about her religious beliefs and her ongoing health issues.
If you’re a Bates family fan, you probably know that they are all religious. Carlin’s father, Gil Bates, is even a pastor. The entire Bates family usually shares about their faith in a positive light. They are often encouraging others to go to church or to trust in God.
But that doesn’t mean things are always easy for them when it comes to their beliefs. Now, Carlin is sharing about her faith amid this difficult time in her life.
Carlin Bates Shares How Mysterious Health Issues Test Her Faith
In Carlin and Evan’s most recent YouTube video, they answered many questions they had received from fans. As TV Shows Ace has reported, they talked about everything from future children to some of their secrets.
One fan wanted to know whether Carlin and Evan’s faith in God has been tested as they deal with her health issues.
If you didn’t know, Carlin Bates began having seizures in May. Since then, her episodes have continued with no answers, despite having many tests run and being admitted to the hospital several times. She’s currently on two medications, which seem to help a bit, but there are still unanswered questions. Evan even had to quit his job to care for his wife and their two young kids, Layla and Zade.
In response to the fan, Carlin Bates said:
“There’s always circumstances in life that test your faith. I mean, before the health stuff, it was moving, and before that, it was like, having a baby.”
She continued, “I think God’s just constantly like, ‘lean on me, lean on me.’ And it’s a constant reminder that we are no always in control and we have to trust him that he can see the bigger picture.”
Then, Carlin Bates said she’s “thankful” for those reminders and that she’s learned so much along the way.
