America’s Got Talent: All-Stars is the latest spinoff that will premiere on NBC. The popular talent competition previously premiered the spinoff America’s Got Talent: Extreme. That aired in October 2021. It featured some of the most dangerous death-defying stunts.

However, it doesn’t look like that show will make a comeback. Jonathan Goodwin’s near-fatal accident still haunts the show to this day. AGT: Extreme was hit with multiple violations from OSHA. Jonathan also blames production for not looking out for his safety.

Read on to learn the details of the new spinoff series and when it should premiere.

What’s the new AGT spinoff about?

America’s Got Talent: All-Stars will feature popular contestants from the previous seasons. Also, only three of the four judges will also appear in the new series. Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum will return to judge the alumni. The core four served as the judges for Season 17 of AGT, which wrapped up over the summer.

Sofia Vergara will not appear in America’s Got Talent: All-Stars. The Modern Family star didn’t share why she won’t return to the spinoff. It’s been rumored that producers are looking for a replacement. If that’s the case, she might not return for Season 18 of AGT.

Simon Cowell will return as an executive producer and judge on the show. He has done the same in the past seasons. It looks like the All-Stars show will focus on three judges instead of four. The new show focuses on the contestants from previous seasons of AGT who did and didn’t win.

That includes fan favorites, finalists, winners, and internet sensations. This gives them another chance to win the coveted prize. America’s Got Talent: All-Stars started filming this month. It immediately started filming after AGT Season 17 finished in late summer.

The dance group Mayyas won the $1 million prize. They were followed by pole dancer Kristy Sellars, who finished second, and guitarist Drake Milligan, coming in third place.

When will America’s Got Talent: All-Stars premiere?

America’s Got Talent: All-Stars is set to premiere on NBC in 2023. Per NBC.com, there is no set premiere date at this time. It will resume filming in October and November, and it’s likely it will premiere before America’s Got Talent, which typically airs in the summer.

The network shared little details about this new show, only that the previous contestants will “compete for the ultimate All-Star title.” The performers haven’t been announced as of yet. Here is some good news for AGT fans.
