The Challenge: Ride or Dies is about to premiere, and just in time for the new season, one of the show’s biggest stars has picked a fight online. Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat is someone that people either love or hate. However, his recent comments have people lashing out at him, while it also has others picking fights among themselves.

Here is how it all went down between Fessy and his former co-stars on The Challenge.

Fessy Shafaat insults athletes on The Challenge

Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat posted a comment on Twitter that had his former co-stars from The Challenge getting all worked up. “Ima need the challenge to start bringing nfl players & professional athletes on the show more often because we would really run circles around them,” he wrote on Twitter. “Most professionally athletes are only great at one thing. The challenge is made for those who possess versatility.”

Fessy didn’t back down either, also writing that he is a better athlete than 90 percent of all NFL stars and he claimed he had better hands than 99 percent of them. This didn’t go down well with former The Challenge: USA winner Danny McCray. Before The Challenge, he was on Survivor 41 and was also a former NFL star for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears.

McCray took to Twitter to respond to The Challenge USA competitor Domenick Abbate, who called it “blasphemy.” McCray told him not to pay attention to Fetty, who was “just looking for attention.” After Fetty posted a highlight reel that showed him in college, McCray laughed it off and said highlights prove nothing.

Josh Martinez responded to Fetty, reminding him that The Challenge is a reality show, which caused Paulie Calafiore to jump in and call Josh a “joke of a competitor.” This brought in Laurel Stucky, who took up for Josh and said that he was there for Season 38, but Paulie is still “desperate” for a call from the show.

Drama like this makes The Challenge so fun to watch. There might be a lot more this season on Ride or Dies. There are plenty of people returning, including former partners on different teams. This includes the return of Fessy to the show as a competitor. Fessy Shaffaat teams up with Moriah Jadea for the season.

Fessy started out on Big Brother 20 and American Ninja Warriors. He became a finalist on Total Madness and Double Agents, while also competing on Spies, Lies & Allies. He had six daily wins and three elimination wins, but never won a season. Moriah Jadea is a rookie. Fetty almost brought his sister, but decided that he didn’t want her to experience the negative aspects of the show.
