Former TLC’s 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On star Anna Duggar recently made a shocking decision. Fans were pretty surprised and confused by this move, but now, more details have surfaced, revealing it was due to mental health and stress. Keep reading for all of the details.
Anna Duggar makes a mysterious move.
In case you missed it, Anna recently deactivated her Instagram account. This action surprised fans, especially because she gave no warning or context. One day, her account was simply unable to be found.
Interestingly, after deactivating her Instagram profile, she left her Facebook and Twitter profiles active. Fans thought it was odd that she would leave one social media platform but not all of them.
Recently, Anna Duggar hasn’t been using social media very often. Since her husband, Josh Duggar’s arrest in 2021, she’s been laying pretty low and has only posted a couple of times. So, she wasn’t really using her profile much at all.
Now, more context about this decision has been revealed.
Inside source reveals her mental health is to blame.
A source close to the Duggars recently shared an exclusive statement to InTouch. The source revealed:
“Anna wants nothing more than to check out and forget everything about this nightmare that Josh has brought upon her and her children. She just wants to move on. That’s one of the reasons she’s not on social media anymore. It stresses her out.”
The Duggar daughter-in-law has received many comments and messages urging her to leave Josh and protect their seven children. Maybe all of the negative comments got to be too much for her to handle.
This doesn’t explain why Anna Duggar ditched Instagram but remains on Twitter and Facebook, however. It’s possible she was getting the most messages and comments from fans via Instagram and that’s why she opted to leave the platform.
It’s unclear if and when Anna will return to Instagram. It may be a while before things settle down and she is ready to start posting. But who knows if the negative comments will ever stop? The source also noted that the “emotional strain” of Josh’s attorneys appealing his case has been a lot for Anna to deal with.
