Hoda Kotb Makes It Big Time

On Thursday, October 6, Forbes released its “50 Over 50” list. TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb made it onto the list for her role in the media. Before she joined TODAY, only men had anchored the show in its 70-year history. She told Forbes that she didn’t see 50-year-old women as anchors. There hadn’t been anchors that looked like her in the past. But when she accepted the role alongside Savannah Guthrie, she made history.

Hoda’s co-host, Savannah, is the one who nominated her to be included on the list. Savannah revealed to the magazine why she nominated her co-anchor and said that she is “profoundly inspiring to women everywhere.”

She continued, “Hoda is the living, breathing demonstration that you can have it all, and you can have it on your own terms.”

This is the second annual “50 Over 50” list released by Forbes.

Kris Jenner (Keeping Up With the Kardashians, The Kardashians) is also on the list.
