Is Amy & Michael Halterman’s Marriage On The Rocks?
Are 1000-Lb. Sisters stars Michael and Amy Halterman having marriage woes? The TLC personality and mother-of-two has been very active on social media lately. Amy has been treating her followers to a combination of her resin artwork along with photos of her beautiful boys. Fans, however, couldn’t help but notice that her husband Michael was never in any of her Instagram photos.
In her most recent Instagram post, 1000-Lb. Sisters fans noticed something even more alarming. Where was her wedding ring? Amy Halterman shared a photo of her resin work with her hand sitting beside the artwork. Fans assumed Amy was using her hand to give her followers an idea of how big the piece was.
Seeing Amy’s hand in the photo, a few fans were quick to notice her finger was naked. Where was her wedding ring? One fan very boldly raced to the comment section of the post for more information. Was she having marriage trouble with Michael?

One comment soared to the top of her Instagram post with a few likes as the individual called attention to her naked ring finger. The individual, however, decided not to imply they suspected the marriage was on the rocks. Instead, they just bluntly asked why she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
Turns out, this was the one comment on the post that Amy Halterman decided to respond to. So, did she explain why she didn’t have her wedding ring on? Is she having marriage woes with Michael Halterman?
Fortunately, it does not sound like Amy Halterman is having any issues with Michael. This is despite both the lack of a wedding ring and the lack of photos of him on her profile. Amy actually had a really good explanation as far as why she wasn’t wearing a wedding ring.
Amy Halterman explained that during her weight loss journey, she also lost a significant amount of fat on her hands and fingers. So, she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring anymore for the simple reason that it was now too big. After losing a significant amount of weight, Amy opted not to wear her wedding ring because she worried it would slip off and she would lose it.
Is she still losing weight though?
Some 1000-Lb. Sisters fans were a bit skeptical of this answer. Some fans even questioned if it was possible she had gained some weight and that was the real reason the ring wasn’t on her finger. Many fans believe Amy Halterman lost enough weight to make a few babies with her husband. She, however, used the pregnancies as an excuse to go off her diet. And, she had these two babies surprisingly close together. She explained they wanted them to be close in age so they could share the same kind of bond she has with Tammy.
Unfortunately, some fans speculate Amy Halterman is no longer really worried about weight loss because she got what she wanted: children.
