Carlin Bates Stewart discovers Layla and her big mess

In a new Instagram Story post on Wednesday evening, Carlin showed fans where she found Layla. The little girl was sitting on the bathroom floor attempting to paint her nails with bright pink nail polish. However, she wasn’t getting much of the polish on her nails.

As you can see in the snaps below, Layla ended up putting a lot of nail polish all over the bathroom floor. It looks like the little girl smeared it while trying to wipe it up. Carlin also shared a photo of Layla’s footprints on the bathroom floor.

Were the Stewarts able to clean it all up?

In the video below, you can watch Carlin Bates’ daughter Layla try to scrub the nail polish off of the bathroom floor. As Layla cleans up, the mom and daughter have a conversation about this situation.

Layla said, “I wanted to” when Carlin told her this was “not okay.” Then, the mom asked her two-and-a-half-year-old why she didn’t ask for help and pointed out that her little girl “made a really bad mess.”

Eventually, Carlin stepped in and was able to get it all cleaned up. A Bringing Up Bates fan messaged her and asked to see an after picture. Surprisingly, the floor looked as good as new, despite being covered in pink nail polish minutes earlier.

Carlin Bates Stewart revealed that it only took water to clean it up because it’s Piggy Paint Nail Polish, which is designed for young kids.

Below, you can see the after shot.

  1. When my husband and I moved into a brand new house, we went to the local lumber/hardware store and found special locks that we could put on our drawers and cabinets that “little people” can reach. They have worked wonderfully through grandchildren and great grandchildren. They couldn’t open the drawers or cabinets that they could reach. They weren’t that hard to install and are still in use today. Our youngest great grandchild will turn 16 in July! You won’t believe how fast they will grow!!!!
