‘Sister Wives’ Fans Beg The Browns To Embrace Honesty

Sister Wives fans have had just about enough of the Brown family’s nonsense. Even in the world of reality television, there are always scenes that are somewhat scripted. But over the past few seasons, it’s become abundantly clear that the Brown family isn’t always truthful with fans.

Now, Sister Wives fans just want the truth. Amid all the drama and chaos, they hope the Browns fan just embrace honesty and transparency — and that includes the way they interact with each other onscreen. Keep reading to see what fans online had to say about the issues.

Sister Wives fans notice the Browns don’t speak their minds often

Since the show began, Sister Wives episodes feature members of the family interacting with one another as well as confessionals. In Season 17, the Brown family only ever seems to say how they really feel in confessionals. They seem to dance around uncomfortable topics when they talk with one another. It makes sense, but several viewers find it incredibly irritating.

“Why only speak your mind in confessionals?” one Redditor asked recently.

If you’ve ever dealt with a narcissist, you’d know that doing any of those things you suggested would’ve only made things worse and would never, ever make them better. [Christine]’s very done and is only saying what is necessary to make sure everyone knows her intentions,” another user replied. Several others chimed in and said they agreed.

At this point, it’s very clear to Sister Wives viewers that Kody Brown is a ticking time bomb. Christine knows she needs to safely leave without setting him off. It’s just a tricky situation to navigate.

“Think about it this way, when they shoot confessionals, they are reacting specifically to the producer’s questions or to the clip,” another Redditor suggested. “We’re seeing at least their second thought on the same situation/comment. They know they’re going to have to say something about it, so I’m sure that’s why we see them start to have some “better” responses in confessionals – who hasn’t rehashed a conversation alone in the shower and had that moment where the best comeback or question occur to them?”

The long-running TLC show continues

Although the Brown family is falling apart before fans’ eyes, it seems as if Sister Wives will come back for at least one more season. Sources confirmed that Season 18 is already filming.

It’s hard to say how the show will continue now that Christine is no longer part of the family, but fans are definitely curious. It seems the show still has some life left in it.

Sister Wives will be back with a new episode on Sunday night. Tune into TLC starting at 10 PM eastern time to see what happens next.

  1. It is frustrating to know we are seeing episodes a year old. The show is losing its place on TV. I’d like to see it continue but up to date and honest. Perhaps a special of what is happening now – with clips from shows we haven’t seen. Having said that, it’s clear that Cody has never seen himself as a “husband” as most of us see one. His marriages aren’t one of love and commitment to building a life together. They’re more of a contract agreement between two agencies with him as the CEO/CFO. He can’t understand why some wives are unhappy because he’s living up to his side of the contract. I know we only see what the producers think is good television. I think they would have a hit if they kept it more up to date and honest. Real life is also entertaining.
