DWTS relies on many behind-the-scenes workers to make the show possible

Dancing With The Stars fans may love watching their favorite dancers compete for the championship, but there are so many amazing people behind the scenes too. There are also costume designers, make-up artists, tech crews, and so many more people that fans never see. But without them, the show wouldn’t be possible.

This year, there is a competitor who uses an interpreter. Daniel Durant is a deaf actor and uses ASL to communicate with others. He also uses an interpreter so he can communicate with people who don’t know ASL. His partner Britt Stewart is picking up some ASL too as she teaches Daniel new routines.

DWTS fans love Daniel, but they also love his interpreter, Gabe. Several fans believe he may just be this season’s hidden gem.

Fans that follow Daniel Durant on Instagram have probably seen Gabe here and there. He accompanies Daniel to rehearsal and even makes appearances in Daniel’s posts. Gabe, Britt, and Daniel made a post to celebrate International Signing Day.

Gabe has made a few appearances on screen, but fans would really like to see more of him. It seems like he and Daniel have a really positive working relationship.

Several fans want Gabe to be cast next season

As DWTS heads into week three, many viewers are impressed with Daniel Durant’s moves. However, it seems like Gabe has a few tricks up his sleeves as well. In a recent Instagram live, Britt invited fans to ask her questions. One fan asked to see Gabe dance. The ASL interpreter happily obliged.

A Redditor shared the video online so fans could rewatch Gabe’s moves over and over again.

“A trio with Gabe would be risky score-wise, but a Gabe cameo in their freestyle (if/when they make it to the finale) would be lovely!!” one Redditor added. Many others agreed that they would love to see Gabe in at least one of Daniel’s routines.

Who knows? Maybe Gabe will get his own chance to compete on Dancing With The Stars next season.

DWTS will air James Bond Night tonight at 8 PM eastern time and 5 PM pacific time. Daniel and Britt will perform the Rumba to “The World Is Not Enough” by Garbage. Don’t forget to tune in and vote for your favorite performers! They need your votes to stay in the competition.
