‘GMA’ Fans Attack Ginger Zee Over Her Actions During Coverage

GMA meteorologist Ginger Zee popped off at trolls once again. She’s gotten a lot of hate lately for the way she’s handled her weather forecasts. Ginger has been covering Hurricane Ian, which touched down in Florida on Wednesday, September 28. She will be there for several days after she reports on the aftermath and devastation.
On Thursday, September 29, Ginger shared that she was at an RV park in Fort Myers. The area contains 900 homes. After the storm made landfall, some were marked with the letter X after the search was completed. Ginger joined the search and rescue effort, which upset some of her followers.
This had her clapping back and saying “be kind.”

Ginger Zee tells online troll to “be kind”
On Thursday, Ginger Zee shared that update with her followers. She revealed what she learned from the survivors of that area. The search and rescue team was still looking for survivors in that area. She only relayed the information to her followers, but they called her out for being nosy and overdramatic.
Spent most of the day at Siesta Bay RV park in Fort Myers. 900 homes ~3 mi from open water of gulf. Survivors told us they had only 1.5 feet of air to their ceilings. Then I realized they had no spray painted x. Meaning they had not yet been checked for survivors >24 hours later

Here are just some of the cruel comments she received:
- “I don’t believe you.”
- “I want a fact check.”
- “And your point is what? There is a LOT of damage for first responders to get to, and not enough responders.”
However, there was one tweet that had Ginger Zee telling trolls to “be kind” during this difficult time for Floridians. It started when a troll accused her of entering an area she shouldn’t be in for dramatizing the natural disaster. They argued that she should’ve minded her own business.
“AND most of them cannot get to these places but because you slip thru a restricted [area] to stir up drama you think it helps! Shame on you!” they wrote.
“I promise we didn’t skip through anything it was right off the highway,” Ginger Zee wrote before firing back, “I adore first responders — I do an entire show on them… [Hearts of Heroes] … please be kind.”
Fashion police come for GMA meteorologist
Last week, the fashion police came after Ginger Zee for an outfit she wore during her forecast. One troll claimed that she looked like a “stripper” who was a former “h**ker.”
“Gingerzee dresses and poses like a retired stripper turned streetwalker,” the troll bluntly tweeted.
Ginger Zee fired back with her lovely message. She intended to kill them with kindness. The news anchor also shared a photo of the outfit in question. She wore a long black and white checkered skirt with a white button-down shirt. However, her attire offended the troll, who had a unique reaction.
