Joy Behar mocked Governor DeSantis ahead of Hurricane Ian, which is touching down on the sunshine state. On Wednesday’s broadcast of The View, she sounded off on his request for federal aid. She didn’t feel bad for Governor Ron DeSantis. He was asking for bipartisan assistance in wake of the natural disaster.

At the time of this writing, Hurricane Ian made landfall in southwest Florida. It’s a Category 4 storm with 150-mph winds. This storm can cause extreme flooding, power outages, and devastating winds. There were also tornado warnings in some parts of the state.

The Republican governor is looking for assistance in light of the storm. Joy Behar mocked his previous comments that asking for help is “socialism.”

The redhead co-host fired back at DeSantis calling liberals “socialists.” His supporters have even stated, “We are ‘Ready for Ron’ because we’re ready to defeat socialism — before it’s too late.” Joy Behar also mentioned DeSantis’ controversial decision to send migrants from Venezuela to Martha’s Vineyard. That wasn’t all that Joy Behar said during the show. She joked that “he could use some of the money that he used to get those migrants to Martha’s Vineyard” for the cleanup from Hurricane Ian. She admitted that the natural disaster will be “a test for him” leading up to the 2022 November election.

Meanwhile, her fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg didn’t understand why DeSantis thanked Biden when it’s his job to help the state of Florida. She wondered, “This is not politics. These are people’s lives. What did he think was gonna happen?” Joy Behar reminded DeSantis that he needs to consider climate change in light of the recent natural disasters.

    1. “Woke???” – A lot of Floridians were not able to get to sleep because of the hurricane, DeSantis’s climate denial ensuring minimum preparations were made for increasing severity of storms. A you a meteorologist or just another lame troll farm GOP troll???

    2. This show should have been canceled a long time ago. They are toxic thundercunts. Yes, I said that!

  1. They must be pretty desperate to have someone so full of hate representing their network. She probably walks around all day long complaining about everything and everyone. She has no love in her life and will probably never be happy. I feel sorry for her and the network. She should be forced to apologize. I really pity her.
