Well-known writer and producer Zack Estrin has been confirmed dead at the age of 51. Zack was best known for his roles and executive producer and showrunner of Lost In Space as well as writer and co-producer of Prison Break

At 51 years old, Zack Estrin was believed to be in good health at the time of his sudden passing. What happened to this television talent resulting in his sudden passing? Is his cause of death know? Zack Estrin Dead At 51: Is Cause Of Death Known?

Deadline confirmed writer-producer Zack Estrin died suddenly on September 23 on Hermosa Beach at the age of 51. Believed to be in prime health condition, his cause of death is suspected to involve cardiac arrest that caused him to collapse during a jog on the beach. With his autopsy still pending,  his cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

The late writer and producer’s family has issued a statement following his passing:

“Zack Estrin was our everything. The best husband, father, son and friend. He loved to make everyone happy. He loved to make everyone laugh. He loved being a writer/producer and being a part of creating these shows that people enjoyed. But above all, he loved his family and friends. Thank you all for being a part of his life and ours.”

A closer look at his life

Zack Estrin was born in California and raised in New York. He graduated from USC and wasted no time kicking off his career in the entertainment industry. Early credits to his resume that allowed him to make a name for himself included his worth with Drawson’s Creek and Charmed. 

Prior to his death, Zack Estrin did have a few projects he was working on thanks to an overall deal he had with Netflix.
