Did Heather lie during an episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life?
Many MBFFL fans appreciate Whitney and Heather’s friendships. Over time, their relationship has grown and thrived. They’re still both looking for romance, but have plenty of fun together.
But why do fans think Heather is telling lies onscreen?
“On the date with Antoine, Heather said she doesn’t drink when he takes her to a wine bar. Then, in the very next episode, on the date with Alex, she has a glass of red wine. What is the deal???” the original Redditor asked online.
Other users immediately had a response to this. Apparently, Heather herself even addressed the issue online.
“I saw her reply on Instagram about this. She said that the drink in her glass on the date with Alex was not wine but they cut the conversation they had about it that explained it. So the editors are making her look messy I guess lol,” another Redditor said.
Reality TV shows may be about real life, but producers and editing teams are notorious for stretching the truth. If this Redditor is to be believed, then Heather really wasn’t drinking at all. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life team just edited the episode to make it look like she changed her mind.

Although My Big Fat Fabulous Life still has plenty of viewers on TLC, many viewers wonder if the show has overstayed its welcome. When the show first aired, it was more about Whitney’s quest to live a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle as a large woman. But now, fans are a little bored with the content.
“At this point, I feel the show is dead. She’s not even giving us good material to snark at. She’s boring. The season is boring. There’s nothing. Nada,” another Redditor wrote. “She’s (They’ve) run out of storylines and material. Jumped shark. It’s over. Even Lenny can’t breathe life back into it!!! I only care if Babs is ok. That’s it. She’s miserable and everyone is moving on but her… time to let the final shoe drop.”
Not every fan feels this way, of course. But many fans do wish that the show would get back to its original content.
