The actress shared her secret for “good on-screen chemistry.” She admitted that she would rather “work with my friends.” Ryan replaced former co-host Michael Strahan, after his shocking exit from Live! The reason why Kelly chose the American Idol host is because of their “20-plus-year friendship.” She knew she could “trust” him.

“We involve each other in our deep workplace discussions, which was such a new thing for me,” Kelly Ripa told The Wall Street Journal.

She prefers to work with her friends and wants to keep it that way. Also in the interview, Kelly admitted that she wasn’t afraid of writing a book. It was the writing process that kind of freaked her out. It almost freaked out her husband, who didn’t want Kelly to share the intimate parts of their marriage.

Rude to Ryan Seacrest?
